The Steam Generator Replacement Team (SGRT) project is a fully integrated Joint Venture of Aecon, United and Framatome, located in Kincardine, Ontario. SGRT is a part of the Major Component Replacement (MCR) project and includes the removal of the steam generators at Unit 3 and 4 and the installation of replacement steam generators with related plant modifications. This project is part of Bruce Power’s Life Extension Program, which will allow Bruce Power’s CANDU units to continue to operate safely through to 2064. In addition to the existing contracts for Unit 3 and Unit 4, SGRT has signed a long-term Preferred Supplier Agreement for steam generator replacements at the plant’s remaining units as part of the Bruce Major Component Replacement project. Reporting to the Director, Human Resources and the Project Director of the Joint Venture Project, the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as the strategic and operational single point of contact for all Joint Venture employees assigned to the SGRT project. This hands-on, dynamic generalist role supports the full employee lifecycle for the SGRT project teams, advising Managers and Employees on talent acquisition, onboarding, HR administration, training and development, employee engagement, workforce planning, performance and talent management, and employee relations. The HRBP is expected to operate effectively in a fast-paced, unionized/nuclear project environment, balancing the needs of the project, partner companies, and employees, while ensuring alignment to applicable policies, collective agreements (where applicable), and legislative requirements.
