About The Position

The Business & Ops Manager will be responsible for understanding the oil & gas market and growing market share by developing profitable sales. This role involves developing and implementing sustainable and profitable business development action plans, building trustful and long-term relationships with customers, and identifying and attending networking events to increase business awareness and generate leads. The manager will also be responsible for setting up agreements, coordinating deployments, following sales activities, and performing key account management to maximize revenue from key clients. Negotiation of contracts and closing deals are essential. Additionally, the role supports business operational activities, including asset certification and coordination with local Airgas filling facilities to ensure assets meet offshore standards (IMCA & BS12021). Participation in the month-end process for timely billing and assisting in the credit collection process with the credit control department are also key responsibilities. Support will be provided as per business needs.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in a B2B sales or business development role.
  • Proven track record in securing new sales and new business
  • Ability to analyze the market, identify trends and opportunities for growth
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and oral
  • Strong organization and project management skills
  • Financial awareness and ability to prepare budgets and forecasts in line with Business Development activity
  • Team player with leadership ability
  • Results orientated; focus on the top line, ability to motivate self and others, resilient in the face of challenging customer situations
  • Ability to achieve results through formal channels as well as personal/informal network
  • English mandatory

Nice To Haves

  • Technical background in the Oil & Gas industry would be advantageous
  • Strong network essential and international exposure would be advantageous
  • Spanish, Portuguese and French are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Understanding the oil & gas market & growing our market share by developing profitable sales.

  • Assist with all business operational activities, certification of assets, and working with local Airgas filling facilities to ensure assets are filled and mobilized to offshore standards, including but not limited to IMCA & BS12021.
  • Participate in month end process and ensure month end billing is completed on time
  • Participate in credit collection process along with the credit control department
  • Provide support as per business needs
  • Support profitable business development according to objectives
  • Create robust business development plan to ensure profitable growth
  • Gather and share market intelligence, project updates on market environment to internal stakeholders
  • Detect opportunities to grow the business & Develop customer network
  • Gather sales results, visit reports and maintain up to date client information.
  • Identify and follow competitors' actions.
  • Assist in the credit collection process.
  • Lead regular prospection activity to detect sales opportunity
  • Develop client prospects through prepared visits to existing customers, competitor customers, potential customers.
  • Active networking to identify new sales opportunities
  • Have a clear vision of customer requirements, expectations and informal needs
  • Manage external communications in line with corporate guidance.
  • Establish relationships and enhance relationship with new and existing customers
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders within existing client base
  • Establish relationships with new clients
  • Offer clients a ‘one stop shop’ solution for all their requirements
  • Negotiate contract extensions and new customer agreements with the support of Business Director
