About The Position

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Business Operations Specialist to join our team in Herndon, Virginia. This role is for a future opportunity and involves supporting a large-scale mission support program within the defense sector. The specialist will contribute to advanced tech and innovative solutions for the Department of Defense, working in areas such as Cybersecurity, IT, and Data Analytics.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Communications, or a related field.
3+ years of position-relevant experience.
Proficiency in office automation tools, calendar management, and database tracking systems.
Must hold an active Secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

Experience working within a secure Military Program Office or command staff environment.
Familiarity with automated task management platforms.
Strong background in technical writing and meeting minutes compilation.

Responsibilities

Prepares and drafts administrative documentation, executive correspondence, and routine program performance metrics under senior guidance.
Develop tracking matrices for project milestones and maintain organized records of administrative actions.
Establishes standard operating procedures to ensure all PMO workflows are executed with precision.
Executes day-to-day meeting support, calendar coordination, and action-item tracking for a large-scale mission support program.
Compile status summaries from functional Task Leads, draft responses to routine administrative inquiries, and assist in tracking personnel onboarding and clearance milestones.
Support the maintenance of administrative Contingency Plans and coordinate data inputs for Mission-Partner reviews within the USPACOM AOR.
Takes direction, guidance, and mentoring from more senior staff.
