About The Position

Phase Change Software is seeking a Business Operations Specialist – People Operations to join their team. This role will support the people, processes, and operational activities that keep the business running smoothly. While people operations provides a foundation, the specialist will also coordinate special projects such as corporate governance and compliance initiatives, and contribute across the business as new priorities emerge. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in people operations, business operations, or HR in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment and enjoys variety, finding better ways to work, and being part of a small, collaborative team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years in business or people operations, HR, or office administration in a technology-driven, corporate, or professional services environment
  • Exposure to legal operations, contract management, or data room administration
  • Advanced Microsoft 365 skills with the ability to leverage Excel, SharePoint, Teams, and other productivity tools to improve how work gets done
  • Hands-on experience using AI and automation to streamline workflows and improve business processes
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and keep initiatives moving
  • Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and a natural curiosity for solving problems
  • Professional communicator who works effectively with employees, vendors, and external partners
  • Resourceful, self-directed professional who takes ownership, asks thoughtful questions, and adapts as priorities evolve

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining HR records, SharePoint content, business documentation, and repeatable operational processes
  • Overseeing the Box virtual data room for corporate governance documents and investment materials
  • Coordinating vendor and customer contract management workflows with outside counsel, including NDA administration
  • Contributing to C Corp conversion, SOC 2 compliance activities, and other company-level projects as they arise
  • Managing vendor relationships, subscriptions, office operations, and day-to-day administrative activities
  • Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency by using AI, automation, and better business processes
  • Managing recruiting, onboarding, employee communications, and people operations activities for a small, collaborative team
  • Jumping in wherever needed to help the business move forward

Benefits
