Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ year's experience
  • Self-motivated and results oriented
  • Capable of working with internal and external teams and partners
  • Superior customer experience skills
  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel and Outlook, and the ability to master multiple policy and claims systems

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree or some college preferred

Responsibilities

  • Providing administrative claims support.
  • Ensuring external and internal customers have an outstanding experience with the department and deescalating customers who are upset or frustrated.
  • Taking first notice of loss reports, accurately entering new loss information into the claim system, and routing the claims for assignment to the correct adjuster.
  • Drafting and sending initial contact letters, gathering policy documents, ordering police reports, and coordinating vendor assignments.
  • Assisting adjusters with SIU referrals, acknowledgement letters, and vendor payments.
  • Drafting correspondence such as underwriting advisories and client contact letters.
  • Maintaining data and updating Excel Worksheets.
  • Processing and attaching mail/email/faxes/physical evidence into the correct claim files, accurately labeling and categorizing the same.
  • Serving as the first level of contact for external customer service inquiries.
  • Notifying business partners by phone/email regarding messages, inquiries, and claims issues.
  • Requesting W9 forms from vendors.
  • Processing and posting financial transactions such as salvage, subrogation, and deductible recoveries to the claim system.
  • Preparing check attachments.
  • Downloading claim files to CDs for Attorney and Suit Assignments.
  • Transferring data received via CD to the claim system.
  • Preparing Attorney Assignment packets for law suits to include specific attachments, file copies, and preparing for mailing.
  • Transcribing recorded statements.
  • Updating/maintaining On-Call lists.
  • Assisting Claim Adjusters with administrative and clerical assignments.
  • Performing other duties and/or projects as assigned.
