About The Position

We are looking for a Business Operations Manager to lead and manage overall section operations, reporting to the section head. This role involves providing guidance and support to team members, fostering a positive culture to enhance morale and motivation, and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs), financial targets, and business growth objectives. The manager will be responsible for problem-solving and improvement activities, addressing issues proactively, and influencing business decisions in consultation with upper management. Key responsibilities include monitoring safety, environmental issues, quality, and productivity, as well as mentoring, hiring, training, coaching, and supervising employees to build a high-performing team and develop succession plans. The role operates under a "One Team, One Mission" mindset, motivating the team through shared values like clear communication, speed in execution, and entrepreneurial spirit. The manager will also prepare annual targets, objectives, and budgets, formulate sales strategies, report monthly performance against budget, and lead future strategic plans. This includes evaluating and adjusting strategies based on results, monitoring internal and external business factors, and utilizing strategic tools like SWOT Analysis and Porter's Five Forces for market and business analysis. Additionally, the role involves creating effective business models with strong value architectures to deliver contributions in environmental, social, and financial returns, and conducting timely employee reviews with clear objective setting.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in either Engineering, International Trade, Finance, Business, or equivalent.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a people and business management role.
  • Travel Up to 25% including some international.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership in problem solving and improvement activities for all employees.
  • Address issues and report promptly and proactively by applying "bad news first" policy.
  • The Manager will be given a level of authority to influence business decisions with consultation and alignment with upper management, thus it is expected to be accountable for the section’s overall business outcomes and results.
  • Monitors safety, environmental issues, quality and productivity of all operations, including the partners and suppliers’ performance, to ensure that they are compliant with all company standards.
  • Mentors, hires, trains, coaches, reviews, and supervises employees to be a high performing team.
  • Develop plans for succession planning.
  • Operates under the direction of “One Team, One Mission” mindset.
  • Motivates the team by implementing shared values such as Clear Communication, Right First Time, Speed in Execution and Entrepreneurial Spirit.
  • Prepares annual targets, objectives, and budget.
  • Create sections annual budgets and formulate sales strategies and activities to achieve the plan.
  • Reports monthly performance budget vs. actual to the SBU head and provide explanations and corrective actions for any gaps in budget vs. actual result.
  • Prepares, distributes and leads future strategic plans for groups.
  • Regularly evaluate and adjust strategies based on results.
  • Monitor internal and external factors that could impact the business.
  • Use of strategic tools, i.e., SWOT Analysis, Porters 5 Forces & others, in providing market and business analysis.
  • Create effective and practicable Business Models with a strong Value Architectures to deliver a rewarding Contributions in Environment, Social and Financial Returns.
  • Conduct timely employee reviews and setting of clear objectives.
