About The Position

The Business Operations Intern will support the Business Intelligence function with sales and marketing operations, primarily focused on the optimization of internal workflows and systems through process automation. This position will offer exposure to multiple business functions with a focus on understanding the importance of data integrity through documenting and automating business operations and reporting.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government issued security clearance.
  • Actively pursuing a degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and SharePoint administration.
  • Experience with workflow automation tools (Power Automate).
  • Experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Prep Builder.
  • Experience using and/or administering Salesforce Sales Cloud and Salesforce Data Cloud.
  • Experience with creating custom objects, fields, and flows in Salesforce Sales Cloud.
  • Ability to take direction and follow instructions, and work with moderate supervision.
  • Proactive and willing to ask questions.
  • Comfortable learning in a fast-paced, small-team environment.
  • Effective problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with creating and configuring Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) Buckets within Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Experience with writing, testing, and maintaining Python scripts.
  • Experience building AWS Lamba functions using Python scripts.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI.
  • Experience with writing, testing, and maintaining Apex code in Salesforce Sales Cloud.
  • Experience with Snowflake data warehouse platform.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Experience with managing accounts on social media platforms and posting content (X, Meta/Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn).
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma and the DMAIC framework (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control)

Responsibilities

  • Gather requirements from key stakeholders to understand and map existing workflows.
  • Support the design, testing, and implementation of automation solutions using Microsoft Power Automate, Salesforce, and Python.
  • Create and maintain process documentation for automated workflows.
  • Review and validate data within internal systems to ensure data integrity.
  • Assist in implementing processes and tools that improve data quality and consistency across platforms.
  • Support day-to-day operations for sales and marketing team, including responding to incoming emails and handing off leads to Sales/BD team, managing social media posts, and updating marketing materials.
  • Support and/or lead other ad-hoc process automation projects.
