Business Operations Generalist

Flow Service PartnersNashville, TN
Onsite

About The Position

Flow Service Partners is hiring an Business Operations Generalist who lives in the space between strategy and execution. This role does not sit inside a single lane — it moves where the work is. One week you are leading a cross-brand project that strips meaningful cost or friction out of how we operate; the next you are knee-deep in a systems integration, mapping data fields between platforms; the week after that you are sitting with a brand leader to redesign a workflow that is quietly costing them hours every week. You will report directly to executive leadership and operate as a true generalist — not a project manager who hands off the work, but an operator who owns it, builds it, and ships it. If you are happiest when no two days look the same and you measure your week in problems solved rather than tickets closed, this is your role. Flow Service Partners operates a portfolio of brands, and growth has surfaced a need we cannot solve by hiring another specialist into a silo. We need a generalist who can move horizontally — someone who becomes the connective tissue across procurement, technology, data, HR, and brand operations, and who turns leadership strategy into executed reality. This person becomes the executive’s right hand for getting things done across the business — and the in-house expert on how our systems, data, and processes actually fit together.

Requirements

  • 4–7 years of generalist experience with a track record of range, not depth in a single function.
  • Experience in procurement-adjacent, ops-adjacent, project-adjacent, and systems-adjacent work, with demonstrated success in shipping projects in all areas.
  • A doer mentality: Willingness to build, write, run meetings, configure systems, and close loops personally.
  • Comfortable being uncomfortable: Ability to be productive within days in new brands, systems, or categories.
  • Systems-minded: Ability to see seams between tools, teams, and processes and identify inefficiencies.
  • Sharp with numbers and data: Comfortable using spreadsheets for pivot tables, lookups, modeling, and reconciliation without needing a BI team.
  • Clean communicator: Ability to write concise recommendations for executives and run efficient meetings.
  • Trustworthy with access to systems, vendors, financial data, and leadership conversations.
  • Discretion is essential.

Nice To Haves

  • Working capability in Power BI, including building models, shaping data, and producing dashboards for leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full lifecycle of projects across functions: Scope, plan, execute, and close projects that span multiple brands or functions — and do the hands-on work yourself, not just coordinate it.
  • Operate without a playbook: Define the approach, build the tools, and document the path for projects that do not have an established process.
  • Move fast, finish: Ship deliverables, make decisions, and close follow-ups.
  • Translate strategy into reality: Turn leadership-level direction into scoped, sequenced, and executed work across the business.
  • Become an in-house expert on the tech stack: Develop deep working knowledge of every platform, its configuration, data flow, and integration points.
  • Drive the integration roadmap: Partner with leadership to plan and execute integrations between systems, owning the implementation work end-to-end.
  • Align the data: Reconcile definitions, normalize fields, and build the source of truth for leadership decision-making.
  • Business process optimization: Embed temporarily with a brand to diagnose and fix breakdowns, removing cost, time, and friction inefficiencies.
  • SOP development: Document operating procedures, playbooks, and standards to turn one-off fixes into repeatable practices.
  • Opportunity identification: Spot unsolved problems and unrealized savings, bringing forward proposals to leadership.
  • Take ownership of other duties as assigned, genuinely.
