As a Business Operations Associate, you’ll be responsible for various functions that support the operational framework of the business. You’ll work closely with internal teammates, home office staff and the field, providing operational support and open communication. Requirements

  • 4+ years of financial services, insurance or retirement experience required.
  • Will require FINRA NRFO registration.
  • Possess good analytical, leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, negotiation and planning skills.
  • Must be a team player, demonstrate effective organizational, interpersonal, and strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Must be results driven and detail oriented with the ability to manage change in a dynamic environment.
  • Good computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft applications.
  • Able to see the ‘big picture' and eager to learn and take on new responsibilities and projects.

Responsibilities

  • Independently perform support functions related to non-proprietary business activity, including managing agent profiles in internal database, fixed annuity desk, variable agent appointments, and broker of record changes.
  • Provide support to the variable/fixed indexed annuity desk. This may include backup support to the variable/fixed indexed annuity desk, application uploads/downloads, and carrier confirmation calls, documenting internal systems with approvals, and transmitting documents to carriers.
  • Perform support functions for varied business processes, such as basic commission inquiry assistance, succession planning support for home office and FPs, PPN Newsblast, and process expenses.
  • Build and maintain key relationships with financial professionals by assisting with training on subjects to include basic reporting functions and website functionality.
  • Participate in or lead team projects, including development and implementation of administrative procedures, creating workflow processes, as well as offering ideas and suggestions to improve processes or gain efficiencies.
  • Perform other job-related duties as required.
