About The Position

The Failure Analysis & Prevention team at Cisco is responsible for ensuring high customer and product quality. The Technology and Quality organization delivers customer-focused quality, reliability solutions, and infrastructure for Cisco products. This role is critical in driving competitive advantage for Cisco by ensuring innovation and excellence in manufacturing technology, test, and component engineering, NPI, and closed-loop quality management. The ideal candidate is a problem solver focused on continuous product improvement, eager to learn and grow in an evolving environment, and a self-starter who can quickly acquire information and resolve issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree with 5 +years of related project/program management experience.
  • Masters' degree with 3+ years of related experience.
  • Prior experience leading and managing cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills to manage various stakeholders expectations.
  • Proven ability to define program scores, manage budgets, and allocate resources efficiently across multiple projects.
  • Provide training and lead by example to new team members.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters certification in project/program management
  • Industry experience with Semiconductor or Manufacturing industry
  • Excellent communication, organization, presentation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate in one of the following languages: Chinese, Spanish or Vietnamese.

Responsibilities

  • Decisions impact the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own function/client group; contributions may result in business or process improvements
  • Manages medium to large sized projects with moderate to high risk; solution may require teamwork among cross-functional teams; there may be multiple interdependencies, and the solution could impact many applications
  • Solves highly complex problems and is able to identify viable and often innovative options, and uses analytical skills and judgment to recommend an appropriate solution
  • Helps drive process and manage projects
  • Defines and validates the project scope, plan and schedule for complex projects; define metrics for project success; select and apply standards (e.g. delivery process, roles and responsibilities, operational norms, compliance
  • Identifies risks to project success and creates mitigation plans
  • Manages project delivery process, scope and costs of complex projects with minimal supervision; drives completion of the project and mentors other team members
  • Establishes partnerships with partners to build support, secure sponsorship, and ensures alignment for project outcomes, end products and/or solutions
  • Drives change by identifying impacts of the project, building awareness and support for change within the organization and contributing to development of training
  • Evaluates project results against success metrics; creates or reengineers processes and resources to improve productivity and end product
