About The Position

The Business Operations Analyst (BOA) is responsible for cross-functional business operations support and administration for Procedural Services resources. This support spans University Hospital, Ross Heart Hospital, The James Cancer Hospital, James Outpatient Care, Outpatient Care New Albany, Outpatient Care Dublin, Outpatient Care Powell, totaling 67 procedural suites. This support includes, but is not limited to, data reporting and analytics, processes and operations, facilities and equipment, process improvement, and finance. The BOA will support the Business Operations Manager (BOM) with the reconciliation of expenses and supplies in eight affiliated cost centers. This position will also provide support, as needed, to our Ambulatory procedural leaders, procedural department administrators, procedural administrators, and nursing leadership. The BOA will gather and analyze data associated with key performance indicators and procedural metrics to monitor and improve performance and reinforce strategic decision making. They are integral in aligning department strategy with business resources and driving change and business transformation efforts to ensure long-term business viability while maximizing the value of the department’s services. May propose or formulate data policies and oversee the preparation and management of data reporting and requests. Manages vendor relationships (as necessary), relationships within the organization and, at times, relationships with peer institutions or community organizations. The BOA should be committed to providing the highest quality of service to patients and fellow staff members, including effectively utilizing organization resources to maximize productivity, working successfully with members of the healthcare team towards achieving organizational and departmental goals, and applying his/her professional and technical skills in performing assigned tasks. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Four years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills in preparing detailed spreadsheets, pivot tables, and presentations.
  • Ability to work independently and organize workload with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • 4-8 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Understanding of data functions in health care.
  • Knowledge of the functions and activities of perioperative services, operating rooms, and surgery.
  • Substantial understanding of statistics and revenue/budget analysis.
  • Experience in IHIS/Epic.
