About The Position

This position is for a Business Office Student Assistant at Dominican University. The role involves supporting various administrative and financial processes within the Business Office. The student will assist with accounts payable, grant management, credit card management, journal entries, and student account management. Additionally, the assistant will handle phone coverage, filing, scanning, and other assigned duties. The position requires basic computer skills, strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, professional phone etiquette, and a customer service orientation. This role is expected to contribute to the University's mission of preparing students for truth, compassionate service, and a more just world.

Requirements

  • Basic computer knowledge, including Word and Excel

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the accounts payable process
  • Review and verify W9 Forms
  • Assist with the grant management paper process – including pulling JL and AP paperwork for audits
  • Assist with the credit card management process
  • Assist with certain journal entries
  • Code students in the AR system
  • Assist with preparing company reimbursement letters
  • Assist with review of student account late fees and mailings
  • Cover the Business Office phones during lunch breaks or as needed
  • Filing or scanning office paperwork
  • Perform other duties as requested, delegated, or assigned
