Requirements

  • Long-term care billing and collections experience strongly preferred, with a solid understanding of state and federal regulations.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, and effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive, professional relationships with residents, families, team members, and external vendors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word; familiarity with Point Click Care (PCC) and MoveN software is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA requirements.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Applicants for this position must be able to produce a negative drug test. Applicants may be subject to a background check.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily census management and ensure accurate, timely distribution of census reports.
  • Direct full-cycle revenue operations, including billing, collections, and account resolution for all resident accounts.
  • Manage billing for private pay, Medicaid, Hospice, Medicare, and Managed Care in compliance with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), MassHealth, and other payer requirements.
  • Verify financial data, maintain resident files, and ensure accurate entry and integrity within billing systems.
  • Post and reconcile deposits, EFTs, and ancillary charges, ensuring proper payer allocation and audit readiness.
  • Administer resident trust accounts and provide timely, accurate quarterly reporting.
  • Monitor accounts receivable, proactively follow up on outstanding balances, and drive collections to meet organizational targets.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for residents and families while collaborating with internal departments (Admissions, MDS, Social Services, Finance) to support admissions, eligibility, and overall financial operations.
