About The Position

Spring Arbor of Wilson, part of Spring Arbor Senior Living and Allegro Living, LLC, is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Business Office Manager to join their leadership team. This role involves ensuring smooth operations while supporting residents, families, and team members. The position offers a $50,000 annual salary, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and requires participation in a Manager-on-Duty (MOD) rotation.

Requirements

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Working knowledge of and comfort with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
  • Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.
  • Adherence to the Company Drug Free Workplace policy is required as the Community is a drug-free workplace.
  • Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous business office, accounting, payroll, or administrative experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Dayforce is a huge plus.
  • Senior living experience is a perk but not required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year office-related experience preferred.
  • Must possess attention to detail, demonstrated decision making, self-motivation and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with payroll processing, accounts receivable & payable is a plus.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles with a minimum of one (1) year accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process and manage resident accounts, including posting payments, preparing deposits, taking deposits to the bank, scanning deposit slips, assessing monthly charges, generating statements, and collecting fees.
  • Account for move-in, move-out, transfer, charges, and collections. Send out resident billings, process refunds and related correspondence, charge guest meals, tray service, escort services, additional laundry, and maintenance requests to resident accounts, enter rate changes, and verify the accuracy of all charges.
  • Oversee the guest/associate meal program, tracking cash, preparing deposits to reconcile daily receipts, and working closely with the Dining Services Director to ensure accuracy of monies collected, deposited, and coded into the computer. Complete weekly and monthly reports for guest/associate meal activity.
  • Serve as the point of contact for all associate relations, including complaints, concerns, corrective actions, and investigations, partnering with the Executive Director and Director of Employee Relations for appropriate resolution.
  • Hire, train, schedule, supervise, and coordinate the activities of the Assistant Business Office Manager (ABOM) and Receptionist, where applicable.
  • Support all Human Resources functions if the Community does not have an HR Director.
