The Business Office Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations within the business office of a long-term care facility. This includes managing census verification, billing and financial data for new admissions, Medicare A & B billing, managed care claims, private pay billing and collections, and Medicaid application assistance. The role also involves payment processing, reconciliation, reporting, account adjustments, accounts receivable month-end closing, Medicare bad debt processing, accounts receivable monitoring and analysis, refund processing, and managing the Residents Needs Account. Additionally, the Business Office Manager will oversee the financial cycle including accounts payable, purchasing, and payroll, as well as staff training and professional development, and supervision of assigned staff.
