About The Position

The Business Office Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations within the business office of a long-term care facility. This includes managing census verification, billing and financial data for new admissions, processing Medicare A & B claims, managed care claims, and private pay billing. The role also involves payment processing, reconciliation, accounts receivable closing, Medicare bad debt processing, and managing resident needs accounts. Additionally, the Business Office Manager will oversee the financial cycle including accounts payable, purchasing, and payroll, as well as staff training and supervision of assigned staff.

Requirements

  • Accounting degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 3 years experience
  • 5 years of health care revenue cycle management experience, preferably in the long-term care industry
  • Knowledge of health care billing requirements, accounts receivable management and financial applications
  • Strong communication, analytic, and writing skills
  • Ability to multi-task, handle multiple priorities, and to work independently
