About The Position

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business office management or human resources within the healthcare or social assistance industry.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, payroll processes, and benefits administration.
  • Proficiency with office management software (Microsoft 365) and human resource information systems.
  • Highly organized, discreet with confidential information, and proactive -- you see what needs doing and do it.
  • Excellent communication, leadership skills and professionalism.
  • Oregon Background Check clearance and OIG Exclusion List clearance required at hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Healthcare Administration.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Society for HR Management (SHRM) or similar HR certification.
  • ADP Workforce Now experience.
  • Healthcare, senior living, or long-term care experience.
  • Familiarity with labor union regulations and collective bargaining agreements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the business office, including billing, payroll, and financial reporting.
  • Oversee entire employee life cycle such as recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to attract and maintain qualified healthcare professionals and support staff.
  • Administer employee benefits programs and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote a positive work environment and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with department heads to address staffing needs, resolve employee relations issues, and support professional development.
  • Prepare and manage budgets related to human resources and business office functions, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to personnel, payroll, and financial transactions.
  • Coordinate training programs and performance evaluation processes to enhance employee skills and organizational performance.
