About The Position

Cooley is seeking a Business Marketing Manager to join its Marketing and Client Development team. The role is part of the Business Unit Marketing Team, which acts as a strategic consultant to practice group leadership and a primary bridge to the broader Marketing & Client Development organization. The team translates commercial objectives and competitive insight into marketing and client development plans, then works across the organization to activate those plans with strategic and tactical support tailored to each business unit. The manager oversees intake and prioritization of practice-level marketing and sales enablement requests; manages standard pitches and capability statements; coordinates with Strategy & Enablement on digital and creative assets; and leads legal directory submission processes. The role also coordinates practice-led events, maintains practice content and attorney biographies, implements market research initiatives, and leads marketing orientation for lateral attorneys. As a people leader, the manager supervises and mentors direct reports and supports staffing, professional development, and employee lifecycle activities. Cooley’s default work schedule is hybrid, combining in-office presence with work-from-home days, except for certain essential roles that require five days per week in the office. The position may require extended and/or weekend hours and travel. The expected annual pay range for a full-time schedule is $120,000–$175,000, with the final offer dependent on geographic location, applicable experience, and skill set.
