About The Position

The Business Manager - Production provides leadership for Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environment (SPQRCE), and gives direction and assistance to the team. The role is categorized as onsite, with the selected candidate expected to report to a specific location on a full-time basis. The position requires weekend and overtime work as needed based on business needs. It is not eligible for relocation benefits.

Requirements

At least 3 years of manufacturing experience.
Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed by the business.

Responsibilities

Champion allocated BPD activities.
Plan daily and weekly production schedules.
Adjust the schedule as needed in response to production problems.
Allocate manpower as needed.
Maintain shift safety through audits, observation, and follow-up on all incidents.
Discuss major downtime causes with maintenance daily and request corrective action.
Report shift status to the area manager.
Coach and mentor group leaders and improve their general performance.
Ensure GM-GMS is followed.
Work with the quality team to address quality problems and coordinate countermeasures.
Support the area manager in resolving manpower issues in conjunction with the union.
Understand and comply with the terms of local and national labor agreements.
