About The Position

As the Business Manager - Production, you will provide leadership for Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environment (SPQRCE), and provide direction and assistance to the team. The role is onsite and requires the selected candidate to report to a specific location on a full-time basis. The candidate must be willing to work weekends and overtime based on business needs and comply with the terms of local and national labor agreements.

Requirements

Three years of manufacturing experience.
Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed by the business.

Responsibilities

Champion allocated BPD activities.
Plan daily and weekly production.
Adjust schedules as needed in response to production problems.
Allocate manpower as needed.
Maintain shift safety through audits, observation, and follow-up on incidents.
Discuss major downtime causes with maintenance daily and request corrective action.
Report shift status to the area manager.
Coach and mentor group leaders and improve their general performance.
Ensure GM-GMS is followed.
Work with the quality team to address quality problems and coordinate countermeasures.
Support the area manager in resolving manpower issues in conjunction with the union.
Understand and comply with the terms of local and national labor agreements.
