As the Palliative Care Business Manager, you are responsible for coordinating and directing the non-clinical operations of the agency and ensuring that all duties are performed in a timely manner. You are also responsible for ensuring that all administrative support to Clinical Director and data entry functions are operating effectively and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated typing, filing, and word processing skills, including Microsoft Office Suite such as Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Demonstrated solid process and people leadership abilities
  • Demonstrated solid financial management skills

  • 3+ years of management experience
  • Demonstrated organizational, written/composition, and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day non-clinical office operations, administrative workflows, filing, mail, phone coverage, and agency support functions
  • Enter, maintain, and audit data in EMR and other operating systems to support accurate census reporting, scheduling, billing, payroll, and timely access to care
  • Support patient and caregiver coordination by verifying insurance information, assisting with authorization needs, scheduling appointments, and communicating with physicians and other healthcare providers
  • Assist the Clinical Director with coordination of care, interdisciplinary group meeting preparation, documentation, patient communications, and other agency processes as needed
  • Manage administrative compliance activities, including HR and medical file maintenance, personnel action forms, background checks, health screenings, drug screens, injury logs, and required documentation
  • Oversee office and medical supply ordering, inventory management, invoice submission, equipment coordination, and related budget-conscious administrative processes
  • Coordinate training, development, customer service expectations, performance improvement activities, staff support, and professional development tracking for assigned administrative support functions
