About The Position

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a strategic, highly motivated Business Manager to support our Military Programs initiatives within the Mechanical Systems, Externals, & Nacelles (MSEN) Engineering organization. In this high-impact role, you will serve as the operational and financial anchor for military engine programs, driving excellence in contract compliance, budget execution, and resource allocation.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant experience includes work in Engineering, Program Management, Business, or Finance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration, or an MBA, demonstrating advanced competency in technical or business disciplines.
  • An Active U.S. government-issued security clearance.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP by producing accurate analyses, reports, and presentations that support program decision‑making.
  • Applied strong analytical, problem‑solving, and trending skills to identify insights, recommend actions, and resolve issues within established timelines.
  • Delivered results by driving tasks to completion, collaborating effectively across functions and levels of management to meet program objectives.
  • Utilized continuous improvement principles, clear communication, and relationship‑building skills to enhance processes, strengthen team alignment, and support Program Management toolsets and concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate, analyze, and deliver cost and schedule performance data to Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT) leaders on a monthly cadence, ensuring 100% accuracy and alignment with program financial and schedule baselines for Engine Modules.
  • Prepare and interpret Cost, Schedule, Manpower, and Earned Value (EV) metrics to meet all program reporting requirements, consistently meeting established reporting deadlines.
  • Partner with Engineering Control Account Managers (CAMs) and Program Offices to establish budget estimates, support proposal development, track monthly costs and staffing levels, and maintain manpower and outsourcing records with documented risks and opportunities.
  • Proactively identify and communicate cost and schedule risks, ensuring issues are raised within one reporting cycle and contributing to on‑time milestone achievement for assigned program(s).
  • Coordinate effectively across cross‑functional teams by providing clear, timely communication and customer‑focused support to ensure program expectations are met, and internal stakeholders receive high‑quality, actionable insights.
