About The Position

The Community Finance team is in growth mode to support the delivery of our $265B community benefits plan and larger community impact commitments post-merger. The business insights and analytics team is at the center of building and enabling the platform that powers our deal teams. You will also be working directly with leaders to drive change.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of professional experience performing analysis
  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date: A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer engineering, Software engineering, Mechanical engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field)
  • A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in Business or quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in analysis
  • 2+ years of experience in financial services
  • 1+ year of experience in consulting
  • 2+ years of experience in people management

Responsibilities

  • Develop financial and operational KPI monitoring suites and provide strategic recommendations to leadership to help steer the business
  • Improve central business reporting and analytics functions.
  • Own and maintain pricing tools
  • Partner with product and tech teams to modernize our platform, including adoption of enterprise AI and automation
  • Build and maintain data models and QC monitoring
  • Partner with UWPM, Credit Officers, and Originators to manage existing and pursue new products
  • Centralize and aggregate syndicator data to generate actionable insights and elevate syndicator relationships
  • Analyze syndicator performance to develop partnership playbooks and review or update syndicator agreement.
  • Work closely with colleagues across Capital One including teams within Community Finance, Tech and Commercial to drive improvement in quality, volume, service, and profitability
