About The Position

The Business Line Risk Manager serves as a trusted advisor and strategic risk partner to Finance business leaders. This role embeds risk expertise directly into business activities, initiatives, and decision-making - enabling growth while ensuring risks are identified early, clearly articulated, and effectively managed. The Risk Manager acts as the primary point of escalation for existing and emerging risks and translates enterprise risk program requirements into practical, actionable guidance for the business. The Risk Manager also serves as the SOX Coordinator for the business - acting as the primary liaison to the SOX Program Office and process owners to communicate program requirements, maintain accurate SOX documentation, and coordinate quarterly self-assessments and certifications.

Requirements

  • Typically more than five years of applicable experience
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted strategic advisor, by embedding risk expertise into business decisions and proactively identifying, assessing, and monitoring existing and emerging risks
  • Act as a liaison between the business line and risk program teams, simplifying risk program requirements and translating impacts to the business
  • Collaborate with risk program teams to drive a streamlined, consistent approach to implementing risk program requirements and routines
  • Serve as the SOX Coordinator by training business partners on SOX requirements, supporting ongoing maintenance of SOX documentation (processes, risks, controls, and key reports), and facilitating annual control testing by gathering evidence and coordinating with testing teams.
