About The Position

The Business Line Regulatory Review Representative ensures assigned locations, business units, or proposed products and processes are in compliance with various laws and regulations. Develops and enforces compliance policies and procedures. Acts as the primary compliance consultant/resource for assigned location, business units, or products with respect to questions, consulting, and training. Participates in, and ensures compliance in the design and development of policies, procedures, processes and training programs. Analyzes new and pending laws and regulations which directly affect company practices and works with affected areas to ensure appropriate compliance. May be involved in a variety of compliance projects and initiatives regarding information disclosure, legal proceedings, etc. Performs periodic reviews to assess level of regulatory compliance. As an individual contributor on the Fiduciary Review Group (FRG) Administrative Review Team, reviewer will: Complete initial and periodic administrative reviews for Personal Trust accounts, including agency, custody, IRA, revocable and irrevocable trusts, and estate accounts; Ensure compliance and mitigate risk by confirming account coding, documentation, fees, and administration are consistent with governing document provisions, internal policies and procedures, and applicable laws and regulations; Serve as the primary consultant/resource for assigned regions/branches; work collaboratively with internal partners to address questions and remediate issues identified during the administrative review process; Communicate proactively with other review team members and internal partners to ensure consistency; Identify potential risks and escalate for discussion or resolution as appropriate; Create and present training materials for reviewers; Serve as a subject matter expert on assigned topic(s); Serve as a primary mentor/co-mentor for new team members; Assist with team initiatives. These may include contributing to periodic communications, development of management reporting, and other initiatives; and Participate in special projects at the direction of the FRG Team Leader.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically eight or more years of experience in regulatory compliance activities

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of trust/estate administration principles and process
  • Understanding of various types of personal trust account types, including revocable and irrevocable trusts, charitable trusts, special/supplemental needs trusts, estates/administrative trusts, agencies, and IRAs
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and trust administration tools including SEI/SWP, Nexus, Advantage Fee, and SEI Compliance Services
  • Typically eight or more years of experience in trust administration, estate planning, regulatory compliance, or similar roles
