About The Position

Our Client is seeking an attorney with at least 5 years’ business law experience focusing on transactional skills to manage and broaden our client service to businesses and businesspeople that go beyond our litigation offerings. Any mix of M&A Experience, Employment law and/or Contract negotiation experience. Duties will include advice work; contract structuring, drafting, reviewing and negotiating; and, general risk management. Candidates must be able to manage a wide variety of clients and business transactions in a fast-paced environment with an entrepreneurial mind-set. Candidate should be ready and excited to grow a practice and provide top-notch client service. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills with a keen eye for detail. Must also enjoy working in a team environment where self-starters thrive. We support lawyers in designing their professional path in conjunction with the needs of our firm. Candidates should be NC licensed and practice ready.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years’ business law experience focusing on transactional skills
  • Any mix of M&A Experience, Employment law and/or Contract negotiation experience
  • Must be able to manage a wide variety of clients and business transactions in a fast-paced environment with an entrepreneurial mind-set
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with a keen eye for detail

  • NC licensed and practice ready
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain effective working relationships
  • Thorough knowledge of case law and civil procedure is required
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex facts and evidence
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent client service or interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle conflicting priorities
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Ability to work independently, and as part of a team, using initiative in all aspects of assignments
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
