About The Position

PSEG is looking for a Summer 2026 Business Intern - Electric Operations - Clifton. This job involves working as a Business Intern. Perform various analytical related assignments on work in connection with the construction, operation, and maintenance of utility systems within the Electric Operating Division. Specific attention and focus will be as a member of the team planning, managing, and budgeting electrical operations. Interns will collaborate with work integration and scheduling staff to monitor and manage the organization's financial plan, including analyzing spending, conducting cost-benefit analyses, forecasting future needs, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance. This position will be Hybrid Fixed.

Requirements

  • Actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution in Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Business Management, Business Analytics, Economics, or Data Science
  • Graduating between December 2026 and May 2029
  • Students graduating in May/June 2026 are not eligible unless they are enrolling in a post-graduate degree program in the fall term of 2026.
  • Incumbents must have completed sophomore level course work for consideration.
  • A valid driver's license and a safe driving record is required.
  • Must be a citizen or national of the USA; OR a lawful permanent resident of the United States (Non-Conditional Permanent I-551 / Green Card / Permanent Resident Card holder); OR a citizen, national, or permanent resident of a “Generally Authorized” destination on the attached list not also a citizen, national, permanent resident of any country not listed; OR a “Protected Individual” under the Immigration and Naturalization Act (8 U.S.C 1324b(a)(3)).

Responsibilities

  • Perform data analysis using advanced Excel tools (pivot tables, data modeling, complex nested formulas)
  • Analyze variances between planned and actual spending, and forecast financial needs
  • Analyze workloads and optimize use of personnel and resources
  • Track financial and scheduling metrics and communicate identified risks and opportunities
