About The Position

A PPL Intern/Coop is a full-time college student, temporarily employed, who is enrolled in an accredited four-year institution. This program is designed to provide practical work experience in the student’s field of study, helping participants clarify their career interests. Eligible students must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree and maintain full-time enrollment. The position is based in Allentown, PA and follows a hybrid work schedule. During the spring and fall semesters, interns work part-time (approximately 20–30 hours per week). Summer schedules may be either part-time or full-time (up to 40 hours per week). The company offers flexibility in arranging the part-time work hours (8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday through Friday) to accommodate the student’s class schedule. Apart from daily responsibilities, students gain exposure to a corporate environment, acquiring practical skills and knowledge to complement classroom learning. Interns and cooperative associates at PPL have opportunities to: Interact with senior executives Join business resource groups Participate in community service projects Contribute to departmental goals The intern supports the Supply Chain staff and receives a comprehensive overview of purchasing goods and services, warehouse operations, inventory management, and data analytics. Familiarity with PPL Supply Chain policies and procedures is developed through hands-on experience.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related degree.
  • Maintaining full-time enrollment (at least 12 semester hours); students cannot continue as an intern/cooperative associate after graduation
  • Holding a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Eligible to work under United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) regulations
  • Able to provide official transcripts and other required information
  • 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Supply Chain Data Analytics team with the integration of a new SAP system
  • Assist with collecting, cleaning, and validating supply chain data from ERP and reporting systems
  • Support development of dashboards, reports, and visualizations for supply chain performance
  • Help track and maintain key supply chain metrics (inventory, spend, vendor performance)
  • Perform basic data analysis to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities
  • Document data sources, report logic, and business definitions
  • Opportunities to support defining master data standards and to learn about data ownership and controls.
  • Providing administrative support for Supply Chain tasks
  • Performing other duties as assigned
