About The Position

Chewy, Inc. is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer II in Bellevue, WA. This full-time role is part of the AI and Data Innovation team. The position involves developing ongoing reports, analyses, and dashboards to guide decision-making and process improvements. The engineer will collaborate with Supply Chain teams on areas such as network planning, capacity planning, inventory placement, transportation planning, and delivery experience to enhance customer experience and in-stock positions. Responsibilities include analyzing demand and resource requirements, identifying risks and opportunities, and providing recommendations. The role requires communication with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from various sources using SQL and multiple technological platforms. The engineer will also be responsible for recognizing and adopting best practices in reporting, data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation. Problem-solving at a root cause level and understanding broader context are essential. The position involves responding to high-priority requests from senior business leaders and improving ongoing analysis processes, including automation and self-service support for secondary data sets. Telecommuting is permitted up to 2 days per week.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Information Management, Data Science, or related field and 5 years of experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or related position/occupation.
• Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Information Management, Data Science, or related field and 3 years of experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or related position/occupation.
• 3 years of experience with Forecasting and Supply Chain
• 3 years of experience with Tableau, Excel and SQL expertise
• 3 years of experience with Python
• 3 years of experience with knowledge of data warehousing
• 3 years of experience with Snowflake
• 3 years of experience with Data modeling experience in Retail/E-commerce

Responsibilities

• Development of ongoing reports, analyses and dashboards to guide important decisions and process improvements.
• Work with the Supply Chain teams in areas including network/topology planning and design, capacity planning, inventory placement, transportation planning, delivery experience for improved customer experience and in-stock positions.
• Analyze demand and resource requirements against available resources to identify risks and opportunities and provide recommendations to solve for resource constraints.
• Communicate with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from several data sources using SQL and multiple technological platforms.
• Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.
• Analyze and solve problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context.
• Respond to high priority requests from senior business leaders.
• Improve ongoing analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service support for secondary data sets.
