About The Position

This role is for a Business Intelligence Engineer II in Bellevue, WA, within the Site Analytics team. It is a full-time position. The engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines, data models, and reporting solutions, ensuring data quality. They will analyze complex data sets, develop statistical models, and build interactive dashboards to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. The role involves partnering with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions. Responsibilities include writing complex SQL queries, utilizing data warehousing technologies, and using scripting languages like Python for automation and data analysis. The engineer will deliver actionable insights, train others on self-service reporting tools, and research innovative BI solutions to improve operational performance and decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Information Management, Data Science, or related field of study and 3 years of experience required as a Business Intelligence Analysts or a related position/occupation.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Information Management, Data Science, or related field of study and 1 year of experience required as a Business Intelligence Analysts or a related position/occupation.
  • 1 year of experience with SQL, data warehousing concepts, and experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, AWS QuickSight).
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and model complex data, including experience with statistical analysis.
  • Scripting languages like Python for automation and data manipulation.
  • Data normalization and dataset modeling in large data warehouse environments.
  • Analyzing retail/e-commerce or clickstream data, and Python.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines, data models, and reporting solutions, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Analyze complex data sets, develop statistical models, and build interactive dashboards and reports to surface trends, identify risks, and surface opportunities for process optimization.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather reporting and analytical requirements and translate business needs into data-driven solutions.
  • Develop complex SQL queries, utilize data warehousing technologies, and apply scripting languages like Python to automate processes and analyze data.
  • Deliver actionable insights to business and product teams, providing training on self-service reporting tools to democratize data across the organization.
  • Research and identify opportunities for innovation in data analysis and BI solutions, leading to improved operational performance and key business decisions.
