About The Position

This role involves designing, developing, implementing, testing, documenting, and operating large-scale, high-volume, high-performance data aggregate tables and reports/dashboards/BI solutions for analytics and deep business insights. The position requires implementing data ingestion routines for both real-time and batch processing using best practices in data modeling and ETL/ELT processes. Responsibilities include providing on-line reporting and analysis using business intelligence tools and a logical abstraction layer against large, multi-dimensional datasets and multiple sources. The engineer will gather business and functional requirements and translate them into robust, scalable, and operable solutions within the overall data architecture. Key tasks include producing comprehensive data set documentation, metadata, BI reports, and dashboards. The role also involves examining customer traffic, browsing, and purchase behaviors to develop a deep understanding of business metrics, conducting deep dive analysis on customer pathing and other website and mobile app interactions to optimize site experience, and using tools like Snowflake, Python, Google Analytics, and Tableau to construct, maintain, distribute, and enhance dashboards and reporting. Ensuring analytics implementation provides clear visibility into the impact and value of new features and functionality, and building insights and recommendations through clear written and verbal communication are also crucial aspects of this position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Modeling, Data Modeling, or related field of study and 3 years of experience required as a Business Intelligence Analysts or related position/occupation.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Modeling, Data Modeling, or related field of study and 1 year of experience required as a Business Intelligence Analysts or related position/occupation.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and data modeling.
  • Building automated data warehousing environments for production reports or tables.
  • Experience with Redshift, Snowflake DWH’s and S3 or similar data lakes.
  • Experience with Python/ R or similar coding languages.

Responsibilities
