About The Position

The BI Developer is a technical role responsible for building and maintaining business intelligence solutions that support internal operations and external client reporting. This role sits at the intersection of data preparation and reporting delivery — querying source systems, maintaining automated pipelines, and developing Power BI dashboards and client-facing reports. The BI Developer works closely with the Manager, Business Intelligence and will collaborate on data infrastructure projects as the team expands its Databricks and Azure platform footprint.

Requirements

• 2 to 4 years of experience in a BI, reporting, or data analyst role
• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Proficiency in SQL — comfortable querying relational databases independently
• Able to query relational databases (SQL) and transform data with Python
• Working knowledge of Python, particularly pandas for data manipulation
• Experience building reports and dashboards in Power BI
• Familiarity with Excel and PowerPoint for client-facing deliverables
• Ability to troubleshoot data issues and pipeline failures with moderate supervision
• Strong attention to detail and comfort working with structured data

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Azure cloud services, particularly ADLS Gen2 or Azure Databricks
• Exposure to REST API data pulls or Salesforce reporting
• Familiarity with Power BI embedded reporting or the Power BI service
• Experience working in a BI team supporting external clients

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for internal stakeholders and external clients via the company BI portal
• Write SQL and Python/pandas scripts to query operational databases and pull data from APIs including Salesforce
• Own the production and delivery of ad hoc client reports in Excel and PowerPoint
• Monitor and maintain Databricks notebook jobs, identify failures, and coordinate resolution
• Support the development of automated data pipelines, working toward reducing manual Excel-based reporting
• Maintain report documentation, data dictionaries, and end user guides
• Participate in BI-related meetings and contribute to project intake and prioritization
• Collaborate with the Analyst, Business Intelligence on report QA and distribution workflows
• Grow familiarity with Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 and Databricks as the team expands platform use
