About The Position

We are seeking a BI Developer to join our team in Martinsville, VA. This position is responsible for maintaining a data warehouse, providing business intelligence services, spearheading BI development, and surfacing Power BI reports.

Requirements

Experience with BI tools and systems such as Fabric, Power BI, Tableau, or SAP.
Should possess strong SQL skills
Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Synapse or other ETL tools
Must have 2-3 years of experience in data-specific roles.
Knowledge of Microsoft BI Stack
Grip over data analytics
Should possess software development skills
Familiarity with common version control standards
Experienced with Synapse or other Version Control tools
Experience in creating and maintaining critical Data Models in support of key analytics
DAX experience

Responsibilities

Building Analysis Services reporting models
Developing visual reports, KPI scorecards, and dashboards using Power BI desktop
Designing paginated reports to provide users with actionable information
Connecting data sources, importing data, and transforming data for Business intelligence
Analyzing data and displaying it in reports to aid decision-making
Recognizing business requirements in the context of BI and creating data models to transform raw data into relevant insights
Defining key performance indicators (KPIs) with specific objectives and tracking them regularly
Analytical thinking for translating data into informative reports and visuals.
Capable of implementing row-level security on data along with an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI.
Expert in using advanced-level calculations on the data set.
Creating meaningful and responsive measures in data sets to surface important information
Should be able to develop tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with data warehouse standards.
Very good communication skills must be able to discuss the requirements effectively with the client teams, and with internal teams.
