About The Position

This individual supports the company's analytics and reporting platform, working with Databricks Lakehouse or a similar platform using medallion architecture. The role involves a variety of business intelligence tasks within a small team that includes third-party partners, as well as collaboration with business stakeholders to produce operational reports and dashboards. The position requires moderate to low supervision and a personable, team-oriented approach. It does not currently supervise other employees.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience developing and implementing solutions at enterprise scale within Databricks Lakehouse or a similar platform.
Knowledge of logical and physical data modeling concepts, including relational and dimensional modeling.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business (Accounting), and/or Information Systems.
Ability to design and build insightful reports and dashboards.
Ability to multitask and manage priorities.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Self-motivated and driven to achieve success within a consulting environment.
Knowledge of data warehouse medallion architecture.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
Experience with Databricks SQL.
Experience with Git version control.
Strong analytical, attention-to-detail, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

Databricks experience is strongly preferred.
Experience with a BI tool such as Sigma, Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik; Sigma is preferred.
Knowledge of SSRS, Crystal Reports, or similar reporting tools.
Knowledge of PySpark and Python programming.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain Databricks ingestion pipelines.
Support Bronze, Silver, and Gold layer transformations.
Monitor scheduled Databricks jobs and resolve failed pipeline executions.
Support the creation of star schemas and maintain fact, dimension, and bridge tables.
Ensure adherence to data governance standards and support Unity Catalog initiatives.
Document data lineage and transformation logic.
Provide technical assistance and cross-training to other team members.
Develop and maintain SQL Server queries and views.
Create and maintain operational reports and dashboards in SSRS and Sigma.
Recommend improvements to reduce load times and storage costs.
Work with key stakeholders to ensure deliverables are clear and concise.
