BGCCO serves 4,000 youth per year throughout Central Ohio. Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Ohio operate Clubs in Columbus, Newark, and Marion. The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for collecting, validating, analyzing, and reporting organizational data that supports informed decision-making across Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Ohio. Serving as the organization's primary reporting and analytics resource, this role helps maintain a reliable “single source of truth” by ensuring data integrity, consistency, and accessibility across operational, programmatic, financial, and development reporting. Reporting to the Chief Financial & Administrative Officer, this position partners with Finance, Development, Programs, Operations, and Executive Leadership to develop dashboards, automate reporting, identify trends, and improve organizational visibility into key performance indicators.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, Statistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Two to five years of experience in business intelligence, reporting, analytics, or data management.
  • Experience developing dashboards using Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience working with data from multiple systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a nonprofit, education, healthcare, or mission-driven organization.
  • Familiarity with donor CRM systems and fundraising reporting.
  • Experience with SQL or database querying.
  • Knowledge of financial and operational reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reports using Power BI, Excel, and other reporting tools.
  • Produce recurring operational, financial, programmatic, and fundraising reports for organizational leaders.
  • Respond to ad hoc reporting requests and provide timely analysis to support decision-making.
  • Translate data into clear visualizations and summaries that are easily understood by non-technical audiences.
  • Maintain the organization's reporting standards and support a consistent “single source of truth” across enterprise data.
  • Monitor data quality, identify discrepancies, and work with departments to improve data accuracy and completeness.
  • Document reporting definitions, KPI calculations, and data standards to promote consistency across the organization.
  • Assist with data validation and reconciliation across systems.
  • Develop dashboards tracking key operational metrics, including membership, attendance, staffing, finance, program participation, and facility utilization.
  • Monitor trends and provide routine analysis highlighting opportunities, risks, and emerging patterns.
  • Support leadership by preparing monthly and quarterly performance reports.
  • Produce fundraising dashboards tracking campaign performance, donor activity, grant reporting, donor retention, and giving trends.
  • Support prospect management through portfolio reporting and donor segmentation lists.
  • Assist the Development team by maintaining accurate fundraising performance reports and campaign analytics.
  • Partner with system owners to ensure reporting data is accurate and complete across finance, development, HR, and program management systems.
  • Assist with report development following system implementations or enhancements.
  • Recommend process improvements that increase reporting efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Work collaboratively with departments to understand reporting needs and develop practical reporting solutions.
  • Train staff on available dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Support organization-wide initiatives through data collection, analysis, and reporting.
