About The Position

Thunes is seeking a driven and product-minded BI Analyst with strong analytical skills and a genuine interest in solving real business problems through data. This role involves transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights to support better decision-making across the business. The analyst will help identify product and operational pain points, improve day-to-day insight consumption for internal teams, and foster a data-informed culture. The position requires close collaboration with data engineers to design, build, and maintain analytical solutions that enhance productivity, business performance, and customer experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or another quantitative field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a data, BI, analytics, or related role.
  • Strong hands-on experience writing production-level SQL.
  • Strong hands-on experience using Python for analysis, data processing, and analytical solution development.
  • Strong expertise in Tableau, including dashboard development, data source design, performance optimisation, and Tableau Online administration and management.
  • Proven ability to work with complex datasets and turn business questions into structured, actionable analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to move from stakeholder requests to practical data solutions.
  • Good understanding of reporting design, data visualisation best practices, and how to present insights clearly for business users.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality, accuracy, and reliability.
  • Able to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to understand reporting, analysis, and insight needs, and translate them into effective analytical solutions.
  • Build a strong understanding of key business processes, product flows, operational challenges, and performance metrics.
  • Design, develop, and maintain production-grade dashboards, reports, and analytical assets using Tableau and other relevant tools.
  • Write production-level SQL and Python to support analytics, reporting, data transformation, and scalable insight delivery.
  • Work closely with data engineering teams to ensure data sources are reliable, well-structured, and fit for analytical use.
  • Contribute to improving reporting standards, data definitions, and analytical best practices within the team.
  • Manage priorities effectively across requests, aligned with team direction and company priorities.
