We're looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our growing Operation Performance Analytics (OPA) team, where collaboration, creativity and high impact projects are at the heart of our mandate. OPA is a national analytics team dedicated to delivering insights and analysis that support Intact Insurance in enhancing operational excellence, driving productivity, fostering growth and elevating service quality across underwriting teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in data-related field (i.e., Business intelligence, Mathematics, Science, Statistics, Computer Science, etc.), or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of programming languages (Python, SAS an asset) and understanding of underlying data pipelines and workflows.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills, managing competing priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate ownership and accountability for deliverables.
  • Bilingualism (French / English) – Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.
  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate in defining business requirements and develop relevant KPIs aligned with objectives.
  • Apply best practices in data preparation to ensure data quality and usability. Deliver high-quality and robust code.
  • Select appropriate ways to build the metrics based on the context. Formulate clear and testable hypotheses prior to execution.
  • Develop and execute data validation processes for developed KPIs, to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of metrics.
  • Provide technical support to the team throughout the development cycle of metrics and for related analyses.
  • Actively participate in knowledge sharing and apply learnings to improve outcomes. Advise and contribute to the optimization of team processes.
  • Ensure transparent and effective information sharing within the team and with stakeholders.
