About The Position

Aston Carter is seeking a finance-focused Business Intelligence Analyst to build and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards, partner with business leaders on reporting and analytics needs, and analyze financial and operational data for trends and opportunities. The role includes developing data models, reports, and key performance metrics; creating solutions with Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, SQL, and related tools; automating reporting; and improving data accessibility, accuracy, and quality. The analyst will troubleshoot reporting issues, document processes and data definitions, and support additional analytics and business improvement projects. This is a contract position based fully onsite in West Fargo, North Dakota. Only local candidates to North Dakota will be considered. A professional dress code is expected.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, reporting, analytics, or financial analysis.
• Experience with Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
• Experience gathering business requirements and turning them into reporting solutions.
• Knowledge of data modeling and dashboard development.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with both technical and non-technical teams.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Python, Power Automate, or similar tools.

Responsibilities
