About The Position

Boeing’s Enterprise Services organization is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst (Senior or Lead) to support our transformation journey. This position is part of Enterprise Services' Operational Excellence & Transformation team. The ideal candidate is curious, looks for insights into data, and turns them into practical and measurable outcomes. The ability to communicate data in business terms and act as a storyteller is essential. This position requires occasional travel to major U.S. Boeing sites, likely once per quarter.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of management consulting experience
  • 5+ years of work experience with Microsoft Excel application using: formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets
  • 5+ years of experience with PowerPoint and creating presentations
  • Willing and able to travel occasionally to support customer needs
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements (U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62)

Responsibilities

  • Engages broadly with Services Towers and functional partners to frame, structure, and prioritize business problems.
  • Mines datasets to identify information & insights relevant to answering key questions and highlight key indicators to drive actions.
  • Works with multiple, disparate data sets and databases, finding ways to link them to enable the building of data sets, presentations, and stories.
  • Uncovers meaningful information from complex data and summarizes it in simple terms.
  • Understands the logic and data sources behind existing reports and analysis to identify issues, inconsistencies, and solutions.
  • Creates complex formulas accounting for multiple sources and variables.
  • Works with the Senior Manager of Operational Intelligence to build visual displays and stories from data, sharing them through self-explanatory graphs, diagrams, and data that drive useful outcomes.
  • Provides relevant and practical insights using data in a simple-to-understand format through verbal and written communication to key partners.
  • Communicates effectively with different levels within the organization, from data analysts to VPs.
  • Discusses data sets, fields, taxonomy, reporting suites, platforms, data systems, system architecture, and ERPs in language understandable to the audience.
  • Works with the Senior Manager of Operational Intelligence to help manage and implement data solutions and support data projects.
  • Builds recurring reports/dashboards and analysis using various platforms.
  • Leads ongoing maintenance, updating, and building of data reports.
  • Interprets inconsistent, brief, and vague directions, produces materials for reaction, and asks follow-up questions to deliver accurate work.
  • Understands data systems and architecture across Enterprise Service towers and creates data plans, approaches, and strategies to improve efficiency and leverage data system functionality.
