The Business Intelligence Analyst Senior will identify and manage existing and emerging risks stemming from business activities and their job role, ensuring these risks are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled by following written risk and compliance policies, standards, and procedures. The role involves leading and participating in gathering complex business requirements by partnering with customers to define business problems and data needs. Utilizing an advanced understanding of multiple data structures and sources, the analyst will lead the development and implementation of business intelligence solutions, including data visualization, transformation, and collection. Collaboration with IT execution teams on analytic infrastructures, data engineering, and business intelligence efforts is key, as is contributing to the design and implementation of technical standards and governance practices. The analyst will apply data visualization best practices, select appropriate data tools, and interpret trends and patterns while adhering to Enterprise branding. Understanding the value of prototyping, usability, and end-user experience is crucial for maximizing the impact of data visualization products. The role requires acting as a trusted data visualization advisor to stakeholders to drive business value and providing system thinking to influence relevant data, information, and application architecture decisions. The analyst will serve as an Agile champion, responsible for methodology, execution, and team education on best practices. They may also provide internal team leadership by guiding on business intelligence tools, techniques, and processes, and participate in industry groups to stay current with trends and share best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field followed by 6 years of work experience in job offered or in a related occupation.
  • Alternatively, Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and manage existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and the job role.
  • Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.
  • Follow written risk and compliance policies, standards, and procedures for business activities.
  • Lead and participate in gathering complex and often unique business requirements by partnering with customers to define the business problem and data needs.
  • Utilize an advanced understanding of multiple data structures and sources to lead the development and implementation of business intelligence solutions, which may include data visualization, data transformation, or data collection.
  • Work with IT execution teams on the development of analytic infrastructures, data engineering, or related business intelligence efforts.
  • Collaborate on the design and implementation of technical standards and governance practices.
  • Apply data visualization best practices, identify the right data tool for the job to identify and interpret trends or patterns while following standard Enterprise branding.
  • Understand the value of prototyping, usability, and the end-user experience to maximize the impact of the final data visualization product (dashboard, report, insight, or analysis).
  • Act as a trusted data visualization advisor to the stakeholder/end-user in order to drive business value.
  • Provide system thinking to influence relevant data, information, and application architecture decisions.
