About The Position

This position will be onsite in Sacramento 2 days per week. It operates within a Power BI, SQL, SSRS, SSIS environment. The role requires an advanced analytical professional who exercises independent judgment to solve complex business questions, possessing both domain/business and technical analytics expertise. As a deep domain subject matter expert, this role delivers actionable insights and leads project teams to drive specific operational or financial decisions. This position is an independent professional contributor within their respective department or business unit, bridging the gap between raw data and actionable strategy. The focus is on business value, leading business and technical requirements gathering, building rapid proofs-of-concept (POCs), and presenting data-driven recommendations to operational leaders. Working with minimal oversight, this role applies advanced analytical skills to novel business problems where no clear procedure exists and informally mentors junior team members.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Healthcare Administration, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field (Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma).
5 years recent relevant experience.
Progressive experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related analytical role.
Proven experience independently solving complex business problems using advanced analytics and predictive modeling.
Strong experience building advanced models and dashboards in a primary visualization tool (SSRS or Power BI).
Experience writing advanced SQL queries for complex data exploration and extraction.
Experience leading small-to-medium analytical projects.
Advanced understanding of statistical analysis, forecasting, and predictive modeling concepts.
Advanced proficiency in data visualization platforms (SSRS, Power BI) or in application tools and advanced Excel modeling.
Advanced SQL skills (SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY, CTEs) for independent data extraction and exploration.
Excellent data storytelling and presentation skills; ability to influence non-technical stakeholders.
Strong ability to exercise independent judgment and tackle novel, ambiguous business questions.
