About The Position

This role is responsible for the servicing and marketing of a book of business, including in-depth coverage analysis, risk assessment, and client presentations. The position involves direct negotiation with insurance underwriters and requires detailed documentation within the Epic system. Additionally, the role includes training other staff members and contributing to department goals.

Requirements

Strong insurance technical skills with deep knowledge of commercial insurance coverages, policy forms, and the insurance industry marketplace.
Strong organizational skills to effectively manage a book of commercial business.
Strong communication skills for working with internal departments, insurance carrier underwriters, and clients.
High School Diploma or GED.
A minimum of 8 years of relevant agency experience.
Insurance broker's license.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree.
Additional insurance designations (i.e., CPCU, CIC).

Responsibilities

Servicing and marketing of an assigned book of business.
Analysis of policy forms, coverage comparisons, identifying exposures, and making recommendations to clients.
Assisting clients with understanding policy coverages.
Renewing assigned policies on a timely basis and in accordance with workflows, including detailed documentation in the Epic system.
Monitoring management reports in Epic, such as Expiration Reports.
Developing and maintaining relationships with assigned commercial clients.
Conducting in-depth coverage analysis and presentations to clients.
Analyzing risks and identifying exposures for clients.
Direct and frequent involvement and negotiations with insurance company underwriters.
Training other staff members and participating in the training of new employees.
Planning and assisting in accomplishing department goals using extensive experience and judgment.
