About The Position

The Business Information Developer Consultant is responsible for developing and executing more complex data mining analyses. This role determines how decision support systems will provide the data required to make effective business decisions. It involves performing modeling of information sources and flows, and potentially coordinating the activities of a project team, monitoring project schedules and costs for own projects. The consultant develops strategic report applications from the Data Warehouse, establishing and maintaining excellent knowledge of data warehouse database design, data definitions, system capabilities, programming languages, and data integrity issues. They develop and support complex data warehouse-related applications for business areas requiring design and implementation of database tables, with the majority of time spent programming. Additionally, the role includes conducting training on the use of applications developed.

Requirements

Requires a BS/BA degree and a minimum of 4 years related experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

PC, spreadsheet, and database skills strongly preferred.
Experience in standard Business Information tools and programming/query languages strongly preferred.
Advanced SQL (complex joins, CTEs, window functions, subqueries, query optimization, performance tuning)
Snowflake (data warehousing, secure views, RBAC, data modeling, warehouse optimization)
AWS cloud services for analytics and data storage
Python (data transformation, automation, ETL, Pandas)
Tableau (dashboard development, calculated fields, LOD expressions, row-level security, Tableau Server)
Enterprise data warehouse design and dimensional modeling
ETL/ELT development and data integration
Git version control (branching, pull requests, code reviews)
Enterprise security access management and change control processes
HIPAA compliance and secure handling of PHI
Agile/Scrum development and SDLC

Stakeholder engagement (requirement gathering and small project management)

Responsibilities
