About The Position

Saber Systems is hiring a Business & Financial Management (BFM) Specialist, Journeyman, to support NAVAIR program offices with full-scope financial planning, execution, and analysis. The ideal candidate will have direct NAVAIR Comptroller, PMA, or NAWCAD experience and be fully proficient in Navy ERP financial processes, including document creation, reconciliation, execution tracking, and reporting.

Requirements

• 3–7 years of experience in DoD or NAVAIR financial management
• Hands-on Navy ERP experience in a BFM or analyst role
• Ability to analyze complex financial data and produce actionable recommendations
• Experience supporting NAVAIR PMAs or affiliated organizations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and data analysis tools
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher
• Must be a U.S. Citizen

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of NAVAIR processes such as POM, mid-year execution, and contracting workflows
• Familiarity with DTS travel accounting and obligation processes
• Experience producing budget exhibits, spend plans, and financial artifacts
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
• Experience supporting NAWCAD, NAWCWD, or NAVAIR headquarters teams

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and track program budgets, including formulation, justification, and execution
• Create and process financial documents in Navy ERP such as PRs, funding documents, and GR/IR actions
• Perform execution analysis, variance identification, burn rate calculations, planning, and forecasting
• Reconcile program funding and obligations across Navy ERP, PBIS, CIR, and internal PMA tools
• Prepare financial reports, briefs, and decision-support products for government customers
• Support FRP, milestone, and budget cycle deliverables, and respond to data calls
• Coordinate with NAVAIR financial stakeholders such as AIR-6.0, PMA BFMs, and comptroller offices
• Ensure compliance with DoD FMR, NAVAIR business rules, and command policies
