About The Position

This role is within the Chief Financial Officer's Office, Strategic Enterprise Integration & Mod division. The position is full-time with two temporary vacancies for 18 months. The work location is 799 Islington Avenue and Metro Hall 55 John Street Toronto. The salary range is $89,337.00-$132,880.00. The shift is Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week. This is a non-union position with two openings. The posting period is from July 24, 2026, to July 7, 2026.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a discipline such as: Computer science or related discipline or the approved equivalent of education and/or experience with a strong focus on Materials Management and Logistics environments (SAP MM, LE-WM & EWM).
  • Considerable experience with financial/data systems specific to SAP data management, analytics, and reporting, with expertise in SAP ECC & S/4HANA transformations
  • Extensive experience in creating business and system processes and the ability to develop and implement administrative work procedures and systems
  • Considerable experience in financial systems such as SAP ECC & S/4HANA, project management tools, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) to create and maintain reports, databases, spreadsheets, and presentations.
  • Experience writing reports, briefings, presentations and policy papers for senior management and providing strategic advice and recommendations on sensitive issues.
  • Ability to analyze and extract large volumes of statistical and material data, interpret reports and research materials, and prepare, organize, and present complex information to support decision-making.
  • Highly developed customer service, interpersonal, presentation and communication skills to work and communicate effectively with a team and all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent research, analytical, problem-solving, conflict resolution and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure, adhering to tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with team to implement detailed plans and recommends policies/procedures regarding program specific requirements.
  • Researches, collects and analyses data for reporting the effectiveness and efficiency of operations.
  • Facilitate and acts as supportive management of project streams across various project domains including business process re-engineering, data management, test management, interface management, reporting and training/communications.
  • Enables and upholds project team staff regarding data requirements for the future state solution, data analysis of the existing data in the City that requires cleansing, mapping and approaches to prevent data inaccuracies in the current and future state solution.
  • Works with Divisions to drive data migration, cleansing, transformation and load to future state solution.
  • Utilizes technology to analyze data and/or metrics from applicable systems to review data processes, identify issues, determine actions to resolve or escalate problems that require system or process improvements.
  • Documents Divisional impacts based on the future state processes based on the degree of change from the current state process.
  • Leads the documentation of project deliverables based on the work packages assigned by the Manager. Works in partnership with the implementation vendors.
  • Collaborates with internal and external customers to elicit requirements for the future state solutions. Works with consultants, staff, and other key partner in planning initiatives, feasibility studies, cost/benefit analysis and the development of future state design solutions.
  • Collaborates with the Technology Services Division as a partner in delivering the implementation of the future state solution.
  • Applies knowledge to support development of cost effective solutions, workarounds and contingency plans to remove obstacles impeding project deliverables impacting project schedule milestones.
  • Works with team on end-to-end project testing including unit, functional, quality assurance, integration, parallel, regression and cutover tests.
  • Creates, documents and maintains test strategies, plans, cases and scripts.
  • Executes test plans and cases utilizing testing tools across technical landscapes including development, quality assurance and pre-production.
  • Performs troubleshooting and debugging of test cases.
  • Monitors and reports progress on test plans and cases working in collaboration with Technology Services Division ensuring successful applications are defect free.
  • Provides documentation and reports daily/weekly progress on milestones for the team.
  • Documents and reports issues, risks and decisions following the project management standards provided by the Manager.
  • Prepares decision documents with option analysis, cost/benefit analysis and recommendations to Project Sponsors.
  • Provides input to organizational change management strategies and plans as required. Supports cutover plan tasks for project work stream and manages delivery. Leads and plans production end user readiness for project work stream.
  • Conducts reporting analysis through requirements gathering and future reporting capabilities.
  • Coordinates and prepares for project needs such a creating reports, flowcharts, briefing notes and presentations.
