We have an exciting opportunity for a finance professional with budget and grant compliance experience. The Business and Finance Officer (BFO) Ill position is part of the Director's Office Finance team but provides direct, day-to-day support to specific DCHS Divisions. The BFO III will partner with program managers, providers, and budget and compliance leads in the Children, Youth, and Young Adults Division (CYYAD) to advance community-driven initiatives focused on strengthening communities, increasing equitable supports to improve educational outcomes, and making the County a place where all young people are happy, healthy, safe, and thriving. CYYAD manages the Best Starts for Kids (BSK) levy, the Puget Sound Taxpayer Accountability Account (PSTAA) revenues, and Education and Employment Resources (EER) funds. Responsibilities span budget development and monitoring, spend to budget reporting, expense and revenue projections, expense reviews and approvals (desk monitoring), grantmaking support, procurement support, research to inform decision-making and strategy, and continuous quality improvement of financial processes.
