As a Business Experience & Planning Specialist within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Cleveland, OH. The Business Experience & Planning Specialist plays a key role in supporting workforce enablement, communications, and organizational initiatives across the Data & Automation organization. This individual will work closely with business leaders, Corporate Communications, Technology Communications, and cross-functional stakeholders to plan, coordinate, and execute communications and employee experience activities that drive awareness, engagement, and adoption of strategic initiatives. This role is a balance of communications, event planning, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement in a fast-paced technology environment.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting communications, engagement, workforce enablement, event planning, or project coordination initiatives.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences.
  • Experience creating professional PowerPoint presentations and presentation materials.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Self-starter with the ability to learn independently, solve problems, and navigate ambiguity.
  • Experience supporting technology-focused organizations or technology teams preferred.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint and collaboration platforms.
  • Experience coordinating employee events, training programs, or internal communications campaigns.
  • Understanding of technology concepts and the ability to work within a technical environment.
  • Knowledge of communication planning, project management, or change management practices.
  • Customer Focused - Knowledgeable of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and able to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
  • Managing Risk - Assessing and effectively managing all of the risks associated with their business objectives and activities to ensure they adhere to and support PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
  • Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 2+ years of relevant professional experience. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of communication plans for organizational initiatives, programs, and projects within the organization.
  • Partner closely with Corporate Communications and Technology Communications teams to create and deliver clear, impactful messaging across multiple audiences.
  • Draft, edit, and distribute communications including emails, newsletters, reminders, leadership messages, event promotions, and training announcements.
  • Coordinate recurring business-as-usual (BAU) communications, including weekly updates, employee newsletters, quarterly training communications, and organizational reminders.
  • Assist in developing communication materials that help employees understand organizational initiatives and their impact on stakeholders across the business.
  • Support workforce enablement activities that foster learning and collaboration.
  • Coordinate planning and logistics for organization-wide events, meetings, and leadership forums, including all-hands meetings, watch parties, and workshops.
  • Assist with annual programs and special events such as technology showcases, innovation events, and GenAI-focused experiences.
  • Prepare presentation materials and supporting content for leadership meetings and employee events.
  • Manage meeting logistics, invitations, agendas, attendee communications, and follow-up activities.
  • Support senior team members in planning and executing strategic initiatives and organizational programs.
  • Gather information, document meeting outcomes, track action items, and maintain project materials.
  • Create, edit, and enhance PowerPoint presentations and executive-ready communications.
  • Compile and organize content from multiple stakeholders to support project deliverables and communication plans.
  • Coordinate across various teams to ensure alignment and timely execution of initiatives.
  • Provides support and assistance for implementation and coordination of planning efforts for line of business initiatives.
  • Demonstrates commitment to quality by delivering customer focus and appropriate risk management practices to customers and/or internal partners.
  • Identifies more complex problems and provides advice and resolution in support of line of business initiatives.
  • Partners with other departments or other functional areas in support of line of business initiatives.
  • Independently provides data collection, research and reporting for assigned line of business initiatives.
  • Recommends and delivers best practices and learning plans that meet business objectives.
