About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Execution Director (Executive Director) to lead Business Management for Global Operations Strategy & Transformation. This executive level role is responsible for shaping and executing business strategy, driving operational excellence, and ensuring strong enterprise alignment across complex, cross functional initiatives. The Business Execution Director operates as a trusted strategic partner to senior leaders, translating enterprise and line of business strategies into measurable outcomes. The role prioritizes and governs high impact initiatives, provides oversight of risk and control management, and influences outcomes through executive presence and credibility, often with direct accountability for program delivery rather. In this role, you will: Serve as a strategic partner to Directors, Executives, and Senior Executives, supporting time sensitive decision making and shaping executive level communications on priority initiatives. Lead cross business programs, strategic roadmaps, and transformation efforts, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy, risk management, and regulatory expectations. Own core business management disciplines, including strategic planning, budgeting support, workforce strategy, governance routines, and performance reporting. Provide senior level oversight and coordination across initiatives, focusing on outcomes rather than day to day execution, often with limited or no direct reports. Simplify ambiguity by leveraging data, analytics, and executive judgment to translate complex topics into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership. Influence stakeholders across multiple functions and lines of business to drive alignment, resolve issues, and ensure disciplined execution.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, including Management or leadership experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of management or leadership experience

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated ability to create and deliver executive level business reviews for senior leadership decision making.
  • Strong business management experience overseeing financials, headcount, and operating budgets
  • 8–10+ years of progressively responsible experience in business management, strategic execution, or executive support (e.g., Chief of Staff–type roles).
  • 4+ years of experience directly managing both managers and individual contributors, including coaching, performance management, career development, and building high performing teams.
  • Strong experience leading operations organizations, enterprise programs, or large-scale transformation initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex, cross functional workstreams from strategy through execution.
  • Experience ensuring compliance, governance rigor, and disciplined execution across initiatives.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness operating at or near the executive leadership level.
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making skills in fast paced, ambiguous, and time constrained environments.
  • Ability to assess incomplete information, balance risk, and drive timely decisions.
  • Proven capability to lead and drive outcomes through influence rather than formal authority.
  • Skilled at aligning diverse stakeholders, resolving conflict, and building trust across organizational boundaries.
