About The Position

Restaurant Associates is seeking a Business Excellence Strategic Project Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives that drive operational excellence and support key business objectives. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, results-oriented project management professional with experience delivering enterprise-level projects on time and within budget. This individual will excel at stakeholder engagement, project planning, resource coordination, and change management while effectively managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, the ability to build collaborative partnerships, and a proactive approach to risk management and process improvement are essential for success in this role. This position is based in New York and requires travel of up to 20% as needed. Travel will primarily support site visits, new-site mobilization, and operational oversight.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Three years of experience managing enterprise projects
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with a positive, can-do attitude
Validated leadership and supervisory skills; demonstrated ability to lead, encourage, and empower teams
Ability to work well under pressure as a key member of a fast-paced team
Able to operate independently as well as part of a team
Client Relationship skills
Superb oral and written communication skills
Manages and monitors the project budget to ensure effective resource allocation, cost control, and adherence to financial objectives.
Able to travel as needed up to 20% - for site visits, mobilization oversight

Nice To Haves

Experience in Hospitality Operations/ and or support functions is preferred
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs, including Monday, Smartsheet, and or Microsoft Project, is preferred

Responsibilities

Works with and motivates the team to achieve the project timelines and objectives
Defines project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
Develops full-scale project plans and associated project documents, including resource needs
Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations; liaises with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis
Defines project success criteria and disseminates them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle
Communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion and manages those expectations on an ongoing basis
Builds, develops, and grows any business relationships vital to the success of the project
Manages and monitors the project budget to ensure effective resource allocation, cost control, and adherence to financial objectives.
Determines and assesses the need for additional staff and makes recommendations as appropriate during the project cycle
Identifies and resolves issues and conflicts within the project team
Identifies and manages project dependencies and the critical path
Proactively manages changes in project scope, identifies potential crises, and devises contingency plans
Conducts project post-mortem reviews and prepares recommendation reports to evaluate project outcomes, highlighting successful practices, areas for improvement, and lessons learned.
Assist in developing best practices and tools for project execution and management
Assist with special project implementations as needed
