Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Calgary office is seeking a Business Enablement Senior Analyst to join the Information Services team within the Legal, People, and Corporate Affairs division. The Information Services Unit is responsible for managing and maintaining the company's infrastructure, providing technical support, ensuring data security and accessibility, implementing new technologies, developing future strategies, managing vendors, and ensuring regulatory compliance. We rely on our talented team to continuously innovate and improve processes and technologies. Our goal is to collaborate with customers and colleagues to implement cutting-edge technologies that enhance productivity, reduce costs, and contribute to environmental solutions for climate change challenges. The Senior Analyst will collaborate closely with business and Information Services Unit (ISU) teams to accelerate value delivery. This involves identifying needs, evaluating solutions, coordinating stakeholders, and maintaining project momentum. Leveraging business and technical expertise, the analyst will drive solution delivery by assessing opportunities, resolving obstacles, and working with stakeholders to implement and support effective business solutions.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a technical, business, or related field, combined with relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience delivering technology-enabled business solutions in a business-facing role.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently drive initiatives and influence cross-functional stakeholders by building alignment, managing dependencies, facilitating discussions, developing decision-support materials, and fostering trusted partnerships across business and technical teams.
  • Demonstrated sound judgment in evaluating and selecting appropriate solution approaches, with consideration for architectural standards, cybersecurity risk, data governance, supportability, and enterprise technology strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into clearly defined problem statements, solution options, requirements, decision documentation, and delivery transition materials.
  • Strong ability to leverage and maximize existing platforms, shared services, and enterprise capabilities to deliver efficient, scalable, and sustainable business solutions.
  • The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position.
  • The final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading technology-enabled business transformation initiatives, including stakeholder engagement, communications, training, and change management activities, is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of the energy industry or other regulated environments, with experience working with operational and commercial data to support business outcomes, is considered an asset.
  • Technical and delivery expertise, including Agile or product ownership experience, solution feasibility assessment, AI-enabled technologies, is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Support Pembina’s safety culture of "Zero by Choice" and the “Life Saving Rules”.
  • Accelerate the delivery of business value by addressing opportunities within Business Enablement and coordinating cross-functional initiatives with ISU teams and business partners to drive progress and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and ISU teams to understand business needs, evaluate solution options, and determine the most effective delivery approach, including building, purchasing, configuring, enhancing existing solutions, or leveraging existing services.
  • Build and support prototypes, automations, and Generative AI solutions using approved tools and platforms, with a focus on scalable, sustainable outcomes.
  • Partner with ISU teams to transition initiatives into delivery and sustainment, providing the necessary context, requirements, decision rationale, and risk considerations to support successful outcomes.
  • Develop and present the analysis and supporting documentation required to evaluate solution options, facilitate informed decision-making, document outcomes, and ensure initiatives progress through the appropriate governance and delivery pathways.
  • Support initiatives through Pembina’s solution sponsorship and governance processes, including ESR where applicable, ensuring alignment with architectural standards, clearly defined sustainment ownership, and the timely escalation of risks, issues, and exceptions.
  • Monitor and communicate initiative progress, proactively identify and address barriers, and facilitate the transition of ownership to the appropriate teams for delivery and ongoing support.
  • Embed sustainment planning into solution development by establishing clear ownership, support expectations, and adherence to enterprise standards to ensure solutions can be effectively supported and maintained over time.
